What You Will Do:
Manage a majority of our footwear product development, including direct oversight and accountability for commercialization processes, timelines, and hitting budgeted cost structures.
All start from the request from USA Design team to execute samples, mainly on existing structures

Keep track of request and start supervising that materials are sourced immediately (as per timeline), and all sample processing is well in place and on track. Pass info to all your team and follow up till the sample is made on schedule. Follow and solve all arising problem, and if need communicate delays, problems with USA design team to take

Work with global teams to maintain product integrity with respect to last, construction, upper & proto development, brand guidelines and DNA.
Oversee creation and maintenance of specs sheets
Partner with Material teams on ordering, allocation & sub availability for sampling
Check that Confirmation Samples are approved as a routine (LAN FENG is in charge at the moment for Technical part).
Check Wear Test Program is in place and working punctually,
Manage product development process
Analyze and manage development styles/sku requests.
Anticipate and troubleshoot issues, find contingency plans, drive resolution and communicate as necessary.
Be sure there are no issue or delays about the chemical and technical tests.
Share with Sales and Marketing departments the collection info and timeline, so also other department are informed about the USA SMU developments
Check China file about tracking sale sample and control everything is going on smoothly and no overlooked samples, delays…and take action to recover before is too late
Product Costing:
 Manage pre-costing and develop strategies to meet/exceed margin requirement while maintaining design aesthetic.
Manage costing process
Initiate & implement strategies aimed at improving margins.
The accomplished individual will possess:
5-8 years’ experience in footwear development
Knowledge of costing, product integrity & margin
Willing to relocate in China mainland.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Fluent English
Mandarin in an advantage but not necessary
What You will Bring:
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in project management. Brand management/product marketing is imperative.
Good written/verbal communication skills, prioritization, problem-solving and decision-making skills required.
Successful candidates should also have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Strong understanding of English language, both verbally and written, Mandarin desirable and a clear advantage, but not necessary.
Drives product development and serves as the main interface with Design teams
Proactively identifies product engineering opportunities with effective partners to ensure execution
Creates, modifies and implements vendor strategies to support ongoing development needs
Develops processes and systems related to product development
Develops relative costing strategies and its related application
Performs advanced needs assessment and designs/delivers precise prototypes, in partnership with vendor base, with the appropriate taste and aesthetic levels
Builds strong cross-functional partnerships with Design, Pre-Production, Production, Mills/vendors and overseas teams and intuitively know when to effectively leverage.
